Circle Die Cut Challenge at Stuck on You Sketches

Hi there!  Today we have a new challenge up at Stuck on You Sketches---use a die-cut circle of some type on your layout or project.  This was easy, as I mostly use circles of some type anyway:)
I used one of my favorite Shakespeare quotes that has always reminded me of my daughters..."Though she be but little she is fierce".
Here is my layout:
I used a chevron circle on the silhouette, and then the rest of the circles are stickers.  As green and yellow are our school colors, the yellows in the Echo Park Mini Collection are perfect.
I had tons of fun with pain on this layout too.
I actually dripped paint on the layout and blew it around with a straw.

 More paint fun:

Please head on over to Stuck on You Sketches and play along with us
This is my last DT post for SOUS and I have enjoyed it so much!
Thanks to Leah and Nanne and all the DT....

This is also going to be my last post for an undetermined amount of time.  I have decided to take a much needed break from online scrapping and blogging.  I hope we are FB friends...if we are, and you post your layouts there, I will continue to look at and comment on your layouts/projects...but for now, I am deleting my blog reader and laying low.
Thanks so much for all the support you have given me. I have made friends in the virtual world that I consider very close and special :):):)
Ta Ta for now!!!

New Sketch Reveal at My Scraps and More

Hi there,
There is a new sketch up at My Scraps and More and I had to do a layout of my kiddos.  This was done by a photographer, and I have scrapped different versions and sizes already, but I couldn't resist using it again!
Here is my layout:
I used tons of Amy Tan plus one, which you can find in the store

This was my favorite part---I stitched a heart and then painted it white.  Love how that looks!

Here is the sketch:

Head over to the blog to see what the rest of the DT did and to link up your layout.
Today marks my last day with the MSAM DT.  It has been such fun and I thank Audrey and Tammi and all the girls!  I will definitely participate in future challenges!!!
Thanks for stopping by today!

New Reveal at Stuck on You Sketches

Hello!
Today is a new, fun reveal over at Stuck on You Sketches---create a project that is 3D with a die cut.
I am into making cards lately, and for whatever reason, my tastes are running to the simple.
Here is my card:
As you can see, it is QUITE simple. I added a 3D element in the bow.  It adds dimension, but is still small enough to be mailed.

The rest of the DT has projects that will knock your socks off, so please be sure to head over and check them out!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

New Reveal at My Scraps and More

Hi there!
There is a new sketch reveal over at My Scraps and More, and as usual, it's an awesome sketch!  Here is the sketch to work with:

I have to say, I love MSAM sketches so much, I generally find that I am pretty faithful to following them, so I didn't change much.

This was fun, documenting my little one learning to whistle!
I used Bella Blvd's Lucky Stars Collection, which you can pick up in the store.
Here is a closeup below, with some doodling and watercolor...

Head over to My Scraps and More Sketch Blog to link up your layout and to see what the rest of the design team did with this sketch.

New Reveal at Stuck on You Sketches...Tree!!!

Hi there!
Today, over at Stuck on You Sketches, there is a new challenge...use a tree die-cut...
I LOVE trees, and have always been attracted to the shape...
Here is my layout, using the Silhouette.  I decided to use the negative rather than the positive.

I used a picture of some leaves that I took last fall...

I love these simple trees.
I used some bling and enamel dots to represent leaves.

Here is a closeup of my title cluster---I used Basic Grey's Persimmon collection, which I find I use a lot.

SO head on over to Stuck on You Sketches to see what the rest of the DT did----
We also have a great sponsor this month---
The Paper Bakery is giving the winner this month a fifteen dollar store credit...I have purchased lots of stamps there.  It is worth trying for, believe me!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Mustache LOVE

Hi there!
Here is my very first attempt at a sketch!

Because it was my own sketch, I followed it pretty literally...here is what I came up with:
I am really into white backgrounds lately.  I splattered some ink on it, and used Heidi Swapp's Hello Collection, which I am currently obsessed with.  These are my daughters clowning around with a mustache eraser, so I had to name the page Mustache Love.  You know, kind of a reference to Muskrat Love.  Remember that song?
I fussy cut the stars out of a larger piece of patterned paper.  Because they are drawn out from small to large, I could just cut along the lines to make bigger or smaller stars.  EASY :)  I pop-dotted each one.
Here is a closeip of my title...everything is Heidi on this page EXCEPT the sequins and the mustache, below.  Not sure who made the mustache.  I just yelled out at a recent crop "Does anyone have a mustache?"  And this literally came flying through the air onto my table.  I love my scrappy friends!

New Sketch up at My Scraps and More

Today, the Design Team reveals sketch #78 at My Scraps and More....
Here is the sketch:

I LOVED this sketch, and knew exactly what I was going to use!  Sometimes I love a sketch so much that I want to follow it fairly literally with pictures of my Beaner kitty :)

My stitching, following the sketch:

And my title, a nod to the Big Bang Theory.  Do you watch that show?

I used tons of My Mind's Eye MILO collection, which is available at the My Scraps and More store.
Check it out here:
And be sure to link up your sketch for a chance to win an awesome prize :)
Thanks for stopping by today---enjoy your weekend!
